OMGPOP Cash, a word from our CEO!

This week omgpop will be launching a second currency called Cash. Cash, as in similar games you are familiar with, can be bought but not earned. Why are we launching Cash?

1) Omgpop is still committed to being the best free games site ever. Some players are happy with their experience and enjoy it for free. Other players want more - more items, more maps, more games. When these items are supported by cash it’s easier for us to produce them faster. We are able to hire more artists and more game developers. And that means more crew for you to pwn as well.

2) We try to be as generous as possible. We give coins for when ads play, for following us on facebook and even in a lottery in the chat room. That’s because omgpop loves its players. Having cash allows us, with two types of currencies, to still give away lots of coins but keep everything balanced on the site.

3) Now that we have some betting games like pool (and more to come), it makes sense to use coins as opposed to making people buy chips, as card games do. Since coins are used for betting we wanted to make cash a separate currency from betting.

We know everyone hates change but every day we’re working hard with you to make the bestest funnest games site. After lots of research, deep thought and 600 cases of coke zero we believe cash will help us make the site even better.
