Contest Rules and Other Legal Stuff
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE CHANCES OF WINNING. All winners must be 13 years of age or older, unless otherwise stated and/or posted. Winners under 18 years of age will need their parents or legal guardian’s permission.
1. Entering Contests and Choosing and Contacting Winners. Winners of the OMGPOP Pool contest will be chosen at random from entries received. Entrants must submit entries by playing twenty-five active games of pool with another active player during the four day period starting on 12 a.m. EST on July 2nd, 2010 and ending 12 a.m. EST on July 6th. Maximum one entry per individual, per household, is allowed. OMGPOP is not responsible for and will not consider incomplete or invalid entries as potential contest winners. Incomplete entries may consist of games where the player is inactive, coordinating to play with duplicate/fake/additional accounts, or is using any kind of exploit to gain an unfair advantage or accelerate the speed of the game. Invalid entries may also consist of entries from users that violate the OMGPOP Terms of Service. Winners of all contests will be contacted via the verified email attached to the winning profile name used to enter the contest. Winners will also be posted on the OMGPOP Blog. Where applicable, OMGPOP will arrange the delivery of the contest prize to the address supplied by the recipient of the winner announcement message. Winner must verify that they are able to fit the prize at the delivery address indicated. Winner is responsible for any assembly or handling of the prize upon delivery. No person may enter any contest using more than one account. Claiming of prizes requires a message response to OMGPOP from the winning user within 30 days of being notified. Failure to respond shall mean that the winner forfeits the prize. OMGPOP is not required to award elsewhere any prizes forfeited by the chosen winner(s).
2. Awarding Prizes Winners are solely responsible for all taxes and/or fees that may be incurred. All cash winners are required to verify proper and legal picture identification and Social Security number within 30 days of notification of winning the cash prize. Winner may forfeit any and all cash winnings if verification cannot or has not been made within 30 days. Upon proper verification, cash winnings will be awarded by check, and mailed to winner’s mailing address within thirty (30) business days. Each prizewinner must supply OMGPOP with his/her legal name, mailing address, birth date, daytime and nighttime telephone numbers. In the case of a cash winner, winner must also supply social security number. Winners may not request substitutions of prize winnings, except in requesting a proportional amount of Coins and STAR for their account. All winners are solely responsible for any and all taxes and/or fees, and all such additional costs that may be incurred. Neither OMGPOP, OMGPOP sponsors, nor employees of OMGPOP or sponsors may be held liable for any warranty, costs, damage, injury, or any other claims incurred as a result of usage of any winners of a prize once possession has been taken of the product by winner. OMGPOP is not liable for any loss arising out of or in connection with or resulting from any contest promoted by OMGPOP. If the specified prize becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, OMGPOP may substitute a prize of like or equal value. Management, employees and families of OMGPOP are prohibited from winning any prizes awarded by OMGPOP. OMGPOP reserves the right to alter any rules of any contest at anytime.
